FAQ's

Will my insurance pay for a visit to an Urgent Care?

Most insurance policies cover Urgent Care visits, although some may require that you select a facility that is “in-network” with your insurance plan. Roswell Urgent Care is an in-network provider for most major insurance carriers including Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Coventry, Humana, United Healthcare, Medicare and more! If you don’t see your carrier on the list, just give us a call and we will be happy to assist you.

Can I visit an Urgent Care even if I have a primary care physician?

Yes! Roswell Urgent Care will be happy to treat you during those times when your primary care physician isn’t able. If you become sick or injured on a weekend, holiday or after your doctor has closed for the evening, Urgent Care may be the best option for you.

Is Urgent Care less expensive than the Emergency Room?

A. Definitely! Urgent Care co-pays are typically much lower than the average E.R. co-pay. And, unlike the E.R., you won’t get a separate bill from the physician, radiology department or laboratory. It’s all included in your visit! We also offer very reasonable rates to our self-pay patients.

What exactly is an Urgent Care?

Urgent Care Centers provide a convenient healthcare alternative for patients suffering from non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. Operating hours are usually much more accessible than the average doctor’s office and wait times are only a fraction of what you would expect to wait in the emergency department. Unlike a retail clinic Roswell Urgent Care is staffed by Board Certified physicians and offers a full scope of services including x-ray and laboratory capabilities.
